It wasn’t that long ago that I took pictures of this baby girl’s family while she was in her mama’s belly. Sweet Evelyn arrived and it was her turn for her very own shoot! I could have spent all day looking at this sweet babe and her full head of hair (very different from my child, bless her).
Holy smokes guys, I didn’t post at all last week! Life has been crazy; busy schedules mean no time for projects and strict budgets mean no cash-ola for projects, so there you go. Hopefully this month I’ll get back into the swing of things.
This weekend we went to Gold Beach with friends for the 4th of July. Any vacation for James and I requires a lot of eating and that’s exactly what we did. It also involved lots of card games, wine, peeing of the pants kind of laughter, and smooching the chubby cheeks of our niece. We also went to a walk-through Safari about an hour away and saw lots of neat animals up close. James even got to pet a baby tiger. He was pretty giddy. I really can’t handle her cuteness sometimes. I just love him.
On Friday, I made a trip out the Egge Seed and Nursery with Jett, my sister-in-law, and adorable niece. If you live in the Eugene area, I highly suggest visiting this little nursery. They have an incredible selection of flowers, succulents, vegetables, and planters. There is a play ground for the kids to play on as well as chickens donkeys to see. It is such a great place that I will definitely go back to year after year.

All my life, I have never been one to like a challenge. I always wanted things to just come naturally to me. I would strive to accomplish whatever took the least amount of effort or energy. Part of me is still this way (like when it comes to working out) but ever since I have started this creative adventure, I find myself wanting to go bigger, further, and push myself past my comfort zone. This feeling is very foreign to me.
One of the areas I want to challenge myself in is photography and finding the art and beauty that is in my everyday life. I feel like such a cheese-ball when I say that but I don’t how else to word it! Every month I will pick a day and constantly keep my camera with me and my eyes open to what’s around me.
